I've always been passionate about writing,
painting, and theatre.
But in college, I developed a deep curiosity about health and healing. That led to a decade-long sabbatical from art while I conducted ethnographic research in South Africa and then received my PhD in Medical Anthropology in 2014.
In 2017, I returned to my own creativity and founded Stone Cicada Studio to share some of the stories and insights that have simmered in my mind for years.
